What sets SCALE Conferences apart?

I bought a ticket but I cannot participate. Can I get a refund?

In line with SCALE’s General Cancellation and Refund Policies, refunds are not provided except for tickets purchased in violation of our Participation Policy.

If you are unable to attend the conference, we encourage you to transfer your ticket to a colleague, as this is the sole responsibility of the original ticket holder. Please note that the SCALE Organization cannot facilitate or guarantee ticket transfers.

Once a ticket has been purchased, it cannot be refunded to apply a discount code or voucher.

I bought a ticket, but recently I got a discount code/free ticket. Can I have a partial/total reimbursement?

Following SCALE’s General Cancellation and Refund Policy, no refunds will be given.

In general, discount codes and free passes do not have a retroactive effect, so it is not possible to obtain a refund (partial or total) in such circumstances.

How much it costs to sign up?

The SCALE Community is 100% free to join.

Create your profile and benefit from the educational content, groups, and forums within the SCALE Community for FREE.

In the future, we may include premium subscriptions with access to exclusive content and advantages, but for the time being, it’s 100% free.

How do I invite others to join the SCALE Community?

Easy, as a Community member yourself, you can just go to your profile, click on “Email invites” and introduce the name and email address of whom you’d like to invite. You can eventually send more invitations at once as well as customise the invitation email.

 

How can I contribute to the SCALE Community?

Whether you are an experienced Property Manager, an industry expert, or a Short-Term Rental service provider, you’re welcome to share your content and your expertise with our Community.

Property managers and Industry experts should sign up as Contributors, while Services and Products providers should apply to become Partners.

Can I share my content on the SCALE Community?

The SCALE Community thrives on valuable content, and we welcome all types of contributions – articles, videos, podcasts, webinars – that would benefit our members.

To get your content published, simply become a Contributor! If you are already a member, reach out to our team and apply to become a Contributor, otherwise, register as a new Contributor.

Do you have a referral program?

Absolutely yes!

To further enhance our global reach and brand recognition, we seek strategic partnerships with prominent figures and organizations within the STR sector.

Who is eligible to join the SCALE Ambassador Program?

Highly experienced and knowledgeable STR professionals, passionate about education, who possess strong industry networks and relationships within the STR ecosystem.

What are the eligibility criteria to become a Contributor?

Who can become a contributor?

Any community member who is a property manager or expert in the short-term rental (STR) industry can contribute to the Community.

STR consultants and coaches can also become Contributors, as long as the primary interest is not to share commercial content to promote a business.

Who cannot become a Contributor?

Companies, company representatives or groups with clear commercial objectives to promote their products or services cannot become Contributors.

Those who wish to share content with a promotional focus can register as a Partner, a different type of membership with specific content sharing guidelines.

What are the advantages of becoming a Contributor?

As a SCALE Community contributor, your content will gain maximum exposure to a highly targeted audience of short-term rental professionals. This is an invaluable opportunity to share your expertise and establish yourself as a prominent figure in the industry.

By joining the SCALE Community, you’ll significantly boost your brand’s visibility and gain exposure to hundreds of potential partners and customers.

What is the process to become a Contributor?

Becoming a Contributor is super easy:

REGISTRATION

Visit the Contributor registration page and fill out the application form. This helps us understand your expertise and how you’d like to contribute.

Already a member? Log in and go to the following step.

VERIFICATION PROCESS

In some cases, the SCALE team may contact you to schedule a quick call to discuss your content ideas and how you can further support the success of the Community.

The approval process may take up to 7 working days, depending on the period of the year.

PROFILE ACTIVATION

Once approved, you’ll receive a link to activate your Contributor profile. Here, you must complete your profile. A necessary step to start sharing content and engaging with the community.

Please note: if you are already a Community Member, you will be notified when your profile is updated to Contributor status.

What kind of content could I share on the Community?

The SCALE Community encourages property managers and short-term rental professionals to share their knowledge and experiences with our network. Whether you’re a skilled writer or an engaging speaker, we welcome a variety of content formats that play to your strengths.

The SCALE Community has been designed and structured to provide quick access to a variety of content formats such as articles, videos, podcasts and webinars.

Is there any reward for SCALE Community Contributors?

We believe that hard work should be rewarded!

While quality is paramount, quantity is also very much appreciated.
Contribute at least 10 pieces of content to the Scale Community and earn a FREE seasonal pass to all our conferences.

No raffles, no luck – just recognition for your valuable contributions.

SPEAKERS

I'd like to become a Speaker at one of the upcoming SCALE Conferences. What is the process?

We actively encourage everyone to apply to be a speaker at our Scale shows as long as you believe you have considerable industry knowledge and experience to educate established property managers.

The process is simple: visit this page, and click the “Send Proposal” button.

We’ll carefully review your submission. If your topic aligns with the interests of our attendees, we’ll be in touch with the next steps.

Please note: Given the focus of our conferences on specific markets (e.g., France, Italy, Spain), we prioritize proposals from local experts.

However, we encourage you to submit your ideas! Your expertise might be a perfect fit for various content formats within the SCALE network, including articles, podcasts, videos, masterclasses, and webinars.

What topics should be focused upon my proposal?

We welcome proposals focusing on any subject relevant to professional short-term rental operators.

Feel free to contact the team for an updated list of the most requested topics.

What is the deadline to present my proposal?

In general, we accept proposals for each conference up to three months beforehand, but we encourage you to submit your idea as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Is it possible to have a guaranteed speaking opportunity?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a speaking opportunity, however, if you feel that you can contribute with great content, we invite you to become a Contributor in the SCALE Community

Are there opportunities to present or showcase my products and services to the audience at SCALE conferences?

SCALE conferences are designed to provide professional property managers and hosts with valuable, actionable insights to scale their businesses.

While we typically do not accept speaking proposals focused on product or service promotion, we encourage you to consider our sponsorship opportunities.
