Scale Rentals. Thank you, we had a blast!

Only a week has gone by but It seems like a lifetime ago that we closed the final curtain on The Scale Rentals Show 2023.

The Scale Family team had an amazing time and we hope all of you who attended and shared the experience enjoyed the two day event.

 

From the start of Day One, the conference centre was buzzing, with two floors of keynote sessions, incredible sponsor stands and networking happening inside and outside on the terrace.

Over 300 attendees converged each day from over 27 countries and greeted each other like old friends, which of course is what we are in our close knit short-term rentals industry. We might be based on the other side of the globe, but when we get a chance to meet we do it in great style.

 

 

 

 

Scale Rentals Show: Day One

The fabulous Kristina Sprindyte and Jamie Lane from AirDNA kicked off Day One with a session that revealed the data behind the stories that shape our STR industry.

Throughout the day, attendees were treated to sessions and guest panels from successful property managers sharing their experiences and industry specialists sharing their take on a diverse range of topics, including SEO, social media, pricing management, scaling without a million dollar budget, and of course the future of our STR industry.

Day One speakers and panellists included: Heather Bayer, John An, Viktorija Molnar, Louis Andrews, Daniela Derin, Romain Giacalone, Michael Friedman, Steve Taggert, and Rebecca Cribbin, to name a very few.

When we closed the conference doors on day one, our incredible sponsors Swikly, Avantio and VRBO took over and treated us to an unforgettable after party on the beach.

 

 

Great food and drinks, sparkling conversation and more than a few partnerships and future plans were made that evening!

Scale Rentals Show: Day Two

Day Two took off with great gusto with attendees buzzing from Day One and the after party. We were all prepped and ready to do it all again.

Global brand expert Amber Erickson-Hurdle kicked off Day Two in the auditorium with a highly impactful session on how your reputation can make or break your business.

Richard Vaughton followed on with a conversation starter on the here, the now, and the future of Property Management Systems and yes, AI was mentioned!

Day Two speakers and panellists included: Noelia Novella, Marco Celani, Andrew Fenner, Xavier Rouhaud, Bob Garner, Nikki Mattei, Fausto Vieira da Silva, Tyann Marcink Hammond and Jessica Gillingham.

Topics through Day Two included Strategic PR, branding, sustainability, AI, PMS, diversity in leadership, owner acquisition and retention, STR regulations and new tax rules and the data revolution.

 

Evan Dolgow from Aidaptive Predictive Hospitality closed the event with a thought-provoking session on the subject of, going on the defence with AI.

The closing event after party was sponsored by Beyond, Roomonitor and AJL Atelier with tapas, ‘vinos and cervezas’ and more sparkling conversation held at the iconic Palau Dalmases building.
